Wrapping up his week-long official visit to China, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli returned home on Sunday. Upon his arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport this afternoon, the Prime Minister said the 10-point agreement signed between two nations including the trade and transit treaty was a significant achievement of the nation. “This treaty has ensured Nepal’s right to access sea as a landlocked nation and the right to transit freedom through the Chinese land.” He added that he held significant dialogues with Chinese leaders and officials regarding collecting Chinese support for development of physical infrastructures in Nepal. “Both sides have agreed to expand land and air connectively and improDuring his visit to China, Nepal and China had sealed 10 separate agreements and Memorandums of Understanding on using the northern neighbour’s sea port facility, building a regional international airport in Pokhara and exploring the possibilities of signing a bilateral free trade agreement and finding oil and gas reserves in Nepal among others. Prime Minister Oli had called on Chinese President Xi Jinping. During the meeting, they had discussed matters relating to mutual interests and bilateral cooperation.
